Dr. Aleeta Van Petten has enjoyed more than 30 years of delivering primary care to all ages.
In medicine, there is no right treatment for everyone. My job as a physician is to get to know my patients to the best of my ability in the brief time amount of time I have to work with them, make an assessment of the problem that they come with, and then, with the help of the patient, develop a treatment plan based on the problem, my experience and knowledge, and the patient's wishes, beliefs, and resources.
I grew up in the Midwest and moved to Seattle for my medical residency. Once here, I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and decided to make it my home. I enjoy reading and gardening and all sorts of exercising including hiking, karate, skiing, walking, aerobics and, biking.
In the Community
I teach karate at a non-profit martial arts school in Seattle. I am also active with local grassroots movements.
